Delicious pear and pecan cake spiced with nutmeg, cinnamon, and cloves for a flavorful fall dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 4 cups peeled, cored and chopped pears
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 3 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.66699999570847 cup canola oil
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions:
  • In a spacious bowl, mix together pears and sugar; allow to sit for one hour.
  • Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C) and generously coat a 10-inch Bundt pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Gently whisk egg whites until slightly frothy, then fold them into a luscious blend of oil, diced pecans, and juicy pear mixture.
  • Combine flour, salt, baking soda, nutmeg, cinnamon, and cloves in a bowl, then incorporate into the pear mixture. Transfer the batter to the greased Bundt pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes before removing from the pan. Carefully invert onto a serving plate or rack and cool completely.
