Artisan pizza crafted with pre-made dough, roasted garlic, juicy pears, melted mozzarella and Swiss cheeses, and savory prosciutto.
Ingredients:
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 0.5 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 ripe pears, halved and cored
  • all-purpose flour for dusting
  • 1 unbaked pizza crust
  • 1 tablespoon cornmeal for dusting
  • 6 ounces shredded Swiss cheese
  • 5 thin slices prosciutto, cut into halves
  • 1 (6 ounce) package fresh mozzarella, cut into small cubes
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the garlic on a small square of aluminum foil and drizzle with 1/2 tablespoon of olive oil. Seal the foil around the garlic.
  • Roast the garlic in the oven until soft and caramelized for about 20 minutes, then gently mash the cloves with a fork.
  • In a bowl, gently coat the pears with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, then place the pear slices on a baking sheet.
  • Bake until tender in a preheated oven for 10-15 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C with a pizza stone or baking sheet inside.
  • Sprinkle flour on a flat surface and roll out the pizza crust. Sprinkle cornmeal on a baking sheet and transfer the dough onto it. Spread mashed garlic, Swiss cheese, pears, prosciutto, and mozzarella on the dough. Season with salt and pepper, then brush crust edges with olive oil.
  • Cook until the cheese is gooey and bubbling, and the crust is perfectly crisp and golden brown, about 15 to 20 minutes in the preheated oven.
