Delight guests with simple and elegant French fruit pastries.
Ingredients:
  • 1 sheet (25 x 25cm) frozen ready-rolled puff pastry, just thawed
  • 20.00 gm caster sugar
  • 2.50 gm ground cinnamon
  • 2 Williams pears, halved, cored, thinly sliced
  • Icing sugar, to dust
  • Ice-cream, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with non-stick baking paper. Using a 10cm round cutter, cut 4 pastry discs and place them on the lined tray.
  • Mix the sugar and cinnamon in a bowl, then evenly sprinkle half of the mixture over the pastry.
  • Lay the pear slices over the pastry, slightly overlapping, and sprinkle with the remaining sugar mixture.
  • Bake until golden, then sprinkle with icing sugar and serve with ice cream.
