Decadent pecan pie with buttery crust, rich caramel-pecan filling - an irresistible treat!
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup dark corn syrup
  • 1 tablespoon cold water
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 3 eggs
  • 1.25 cups chopped pecans
  • 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie shell
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, let the sugar, corn syrup, butter, water, and cornstarch mingle until they come to a roaring boil; then, take it off the heat.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat eggs until frothy. Slowly mix in the cooked syrup mixture. Add salt, vanilla, and pecans, and stir well.
  • Transfer the luscious pecan mixture into the prepared pie shell.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until the filling is fully set, for about 45 to 50 minutes.
