Quick and easy pecan-crusted walleye with a light, flavorful crust.
Ingredients:
  • 1 large egg
  • 0.25 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground paprika
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 cup ground pecan meal
  • 4 (4 ounce) fillets walleye
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Instructions:
  • Combine egg with a flavorful blend of spices in a bowl, ensuring they are well mixed. Gently spread pecan meal in a shallow dish.
  • Coat walleye fillets in the egg mixture, then press firmly into pecan meal for a perfect crust.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat butter and vegetable oil. Add walleye fillets and cook until they turn golden brown on both sides and easily flake with a fork, about 3 to 4 minutes per side.
