Creamy vodka sauce pasta with prosciutto, tomatoes, basil, garlic, and Parmesan.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (16 ounce) package dry penne pasta
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 0.125 pound prosciutto, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 (16 ounce) cans whole peeled tomatoes
  • 0.5 cup vodka
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 cup chopped fresh basil leaves
  • salt to taste
Instructions:
  • Boil a pot of salted water. Cook penne until al dente, about 11 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet or wok, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté prosciutto, garlic, and red pepper flakes for 1 minute. Add tomatoes and cook for 3 minutes. Mix in cream and vodka, then simmer until sauce thickens, about 15 minutes.
  • Combine Parmesan and fresh basil into the sauce, ensuring everything is well mixed. Season with salt to enhance the flavors. Add the penne and toss until every piece is evenly coated with the delicious sauce.
