Tender steak strips sizzle with onions, garlic, and peppers, perfectly spiced with paprika.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup uncooked long-grain white rice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, sliced and separated into rings
  • 0.5 green bell pepper, julienned
  • 1 pound boneless sirloin steak, cut into thin strips
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled and chopped
  • 1 teaspoon browning sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ground paprika
  • seasoning salt to taste
  • ground black pepper to taste
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 0.5 cup water
Instructions:
  • In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water and rice to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 20 minutes.
  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, saute onion and green bell pepper in olive oil until tender and fragrant.
  • Combine the steak, garlic, and browning sauce with the onion and green bell pepper mixture. Season generously with paprika, seasoning salt, and black pepper. Sauté until the steak is perfectly browned. Pour in 1 1/2 cups water and bring to a boil.
  • In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with 1/2 cup water until smooth. Add to the bubbling steak mixture, stirring until it thickens. Serve over the cooked rice.
