Indulgent fudgy cookies with a refreshing hint of mint in every bite.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Double Chocolate Chunk Cookie Mix
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 egg
  • 42 York™ peppermint patties, unwrapped (from two 12-oz bags)
  • 1 1/4 cups dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon Betty Crocker™ holiday candy sprinkles, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Combine cookie mix, softened butter, water, and egg in a large bowl until a soft dough forms.
  • Scoop rounded teaspoonfuls of dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart. Bake for 6 to 8 minutes until edges are set. Press one peppermint pattie onto each cookie, then let them cool on the cookie sheet for 2 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack. Allow the cookies to cool completely for at least 1 hour.
  • In a medium microwavable bowl, heat chocolate chips and whipping cream in the microwave uncovered on High for 1 minute; stir. Continue microwaving in 10- to 15-second intervals, stirring after each, until the mixture is smooth. Spoon a generous teaspoonful on top of each peppermint pattie on the cookie and spread to cover the candy. Sprinkle with candy sprinkles. Refrigerate the cookies until set, approximately 15 minutes. Store them covered in an airtight container at room temperature with waxed paper between layers.
