'Tis the season for festive peppermint snowball cookies - get baking!
Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup finely crushed peppermint candies (12 candies)
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 1/4 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 325°F. Combine 1/4 cup crushed candies with 1/4 cup powdered sugar; set aside. Cream together butter, 1/3 cup powdered sugar, 1/4 cup crushed candies, and vanilla in a medium bowl. Gently mix in the flour and salt.
  • Roll the dough into tablespoon-sized balls and space them 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until set but not browned. Remove from the cookie sheet right away and roll in the reserved candy mixture. Allow to cool completely on a wire rack, then roll in the candy mixture again.
