Spice up your classic lasagne with peri-peri for a flavorful twist!
Ingredients:
  • 65ml PERi-PERi Sauce
  • 500g minced beef (15% fat)
  • 1 onion, finely diced
  • 1 carrot, grated
  • 2 tins chopped tomatoes (2 x 400g)
  • 1 beef stock cube
  • 22.20 gm tomato paste
  • 20g grated parmesan
  • 4 dried lasagne sheets
  • Grated mozzarella for topping
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 180C. Brown the mince in batches in a large frying pan.
  • In a sizzling pan, swirl in oil, onions, and carrots. Stir vigorously for 5 minutes, then reduce the heat and incorporate the luscious tomato paste.
  • Stir continuously for 2 minutes, then introduce tinned tomatoes and stock cube to the pot and bring to a vigorous boil. Reduce heat and let simmer for 45 minutes.
  • Simmer grated parmesan with PERi-PERi sauce in the pan for 5 minutes.
  • Place the lasagne sheets in a deep dish filled with boiling water for 5 minutes, then drain.
  • Layer the sauce between each fold of the lasagna sheet (1 sheet per person) in an ovenproof dish, then sprinkle with mozzarella. Bake for 15 minutes.
