Spicy ghost pepper phaal curry - the ultimate fiery dish for spice lovers! Enjoy with rice for a flaming culinary experience.
Ingredients:
2 medium tomatoes, diced
10clovesgarlic, coarsely chopped
3ghost chile peppers, stemmed and coarsely chopped (use gloves)
2tablespoons gratedfresh ginger root
1tablespoontomato puree
1tablespoonsalt
2teaspoons chili powder
2teaspoons garam masala
1.5 teaspoons ground cumin
1.5 teaspoons ground coriander
1teaspoonground fenugreek
2pounds cubedlamb
0.25 cupclarified butter (ghee)
1 large onion, diced
1tablespoonchoppedfresh cilantro, or to taste
Instructions:
In a blender, add tomatoes, water, garlic, ghost peppers, ginger, tomato purée, salt, chili powder, garam masala, cumin, coriander, fenugreek, and pepper. Pulse to chop ingredients, then blend until smooth.
Pour the blended mixture into a spacious bowl. Add the lamb and mix well until coated. Cover and let it marinate in the fridge for 1 hour.
In a large pot over medium-high heat, melt ghee. Cook onions until golden brown, stirring constantly, for 10 to 15 minutes. Add lamb and marinade, bring to a boil, and simmer until sauce thickens for about 5 minutes. Reduce heat to low and cook until lamb is tender, approximately 20 minutes.
Serve the soup in bowls and sprinkle with fresh cilantro for a burst of flavor.
