Elevate any dish with this easy red pickled onion recipe.
Ingredients:
  • 1 red onion, sliced
  • 1 baby beetroot, trimmed, scrubbed
  • 250.00 ml coriander leaves
  • 40.00 gm caster sugar
  • 60ml red wine vinegar
Instructions:
  • Sauté the onion in a saucepan over medium heat. Add quartered beetroot, coriander, sugar, and 1 tablespoon salt. Pour in red wine vinegar and 1/4 cup (60ml) water and bring to a gentle simmer. Once done, transfer the mixture to a bowl. Allow it to cool slightly, cover, and refrigerate overnight before serving. Enjoy!
