Indulgent maple bacon ice cream with candied bacon pieces for a decadent savory-sweet treat for bacon enthusiasts.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 pound bacon
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 0.5 cup maple syrup
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with aluminum foil.
  • In a shallow bowl, coat both sides of bacon slices with brown sugar by pressing them gently.
  • Arrange the bacon slices on the baking sheet.
  • Bake in a hot oven until the bacon is crispy and glazed with brown sugar, around 20 minutes. Take it out of the sheet pan, let it cool completely, chop the bacon, and set it aside.
  • Combine cream, milk, and maple syrup in a bowl, whisk until well mixed, then fold in candied bacon pieces.
  • Transfer the batter into an ice cream maker and freeze following the manufacturer’s guidelines. Enjoy as a soft serve or transfer the ice cream into a lidded container and freeze until firm, if preferred.
