Citrus sorbet: Refreshing, light, and fat-free frozen treat.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup water
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple
  • 2 teaspoons freshly grated orange zest
Instructions:
  • Combine water and sugar in a medium saucepan and simmer over medium-high heat until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  • Blend together fresh and juicy pineapple in a food processor until velvety. Combine in a metal bowl with syrup, zesty lemon juice, vibrant orange juice, and fragrant orange zest. Chill in the freezer until just firm, but not solidified.
  • Blend mixture in a food processor or whip with an electric mixer until creamy. Place in a freezer-safe container and freeze until solid, approximately 2 hours.
