Feed a crowd with our legendary pizza burgers - a delicious fusion of two classic fast foods!
Ingredients:
  • 700g sebago potatoes, unpeeled, cut into 1cm chips
  • 3 tsp dried Italian herbs
  • 400g beef mince
  • 80g piece mozzarella, cut into 4 slices
  • 8 thin slices spicy salami
  • 4 Italian-style crusty bread rolls, split
  • 30g baby rocket
  • 2 tomatoes, thinly sliced
  • 8 large fresh basil leaves
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 220C/200C fan-forced. Prepare one baking tray with baking paper and another with foil.
  • Arrange the potatoes in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle with 2 tablespoons of oil and sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of herbs. Gently toss to coat evenly. Season with salt and pepper. Bake for 40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the potatoes are golden and tender.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the mince and remaining herbs. Season with salt and pepper, then mix thoroughly. Shape the mixture into 4 patties.
  • In a large frying pan over medium-high heat, heat the remaining oil. Cook patties for 3 to 4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer the patties to a foil-lined tray. Top each patty with a slice of mozzarella and arrange the salami in a single layer on the tray.
  • After cooking the potato chips, take them out of the oven. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Place the patties and salami underneath the grill and cook for 5 minutes, or until the mozzarella cheese melts and the salami becomes crispy.
  • Lay down roll bases on plates. Stack rocket, tomato, patties, salami, and basil on top. Complete with the roll tops. Accompany the burgers with potato chips for serving.
