Create your homemade pizza dough effortlessly.
Ingredients:
  • 375ml water
  • 20.00 ml (14g/2 sachets) dried yeast
  • 10.00 gm caster sugar
  • 600g plain flour
  • 4.80 gm salt
  • 80ml olive oil
  • Olive oil, extra, to brush
Instructions:
  • In a small bowl, mix water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy. If it doesn't foam, the yeast is inactive.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the flour and salt, creating a well in the center. Pour in the yeast mixture and oil to enhance flavor and soften the dough.
  • Use a round-bladed knife to evenly combine the ingredients with a cutting motion, then bring the dough together using your hands.
  • Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface for kneading, then lightly brush the bowl with oil.
  • Knead the dough for 10 minutes by using the heel of your hand to push and stretch the dough, then lift and fold it towards you until it becomes smooth and elastic. Test its readiness by pressing it with two fingers – if it lightly springs back, it's ready.
  • Coat the ingredients in oil in the bowl to prevent a crust from forming. Cover the bowl and let it rise in a warm, draft-free place for 30 minutes or until the dough doubles in size.
  • 1. Preheat your oven to a toasty 240C. Give the dough a good punch down, then knead it until super smooth. Divide it into portions. Roll out one portion on a lightly floured surface to your preferred thickness. Transfer it to a pizza tray. Add your top toppings. Pop it in the oven and bake for 12-15 mins until beautifully golden brown.
