Delicious one-dish pizza pasta bake with bell pepper, sausage, pepperoni, and olives, paired with your choice of pasta shapes.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound any shape pasta (such as penne, farfalle, elbows)
  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 0.5 sweet onion, diced
  • 4 ounces sliced pepperoni, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 ounces sliced black olives
  • 2 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 (24 ounce) jar RAGÚ® Old World Style® Traditional Sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Boil a large pot of water, then cook pasta as per package instructions.
  • While the pasta is cooking, sauté the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until it turns lightly pink. Add in the green bell pepper and onion, continue cooking until the meat is fully cooked. Then stir in the pepperoni, olives, cream cheese, and sauce, cooking over low heat until everything is heated through and the cheese is melted.
  • After cooking the pasta, drain it and put it back in the pot. Mix in the sausage mixture and stir well to ensure the pasta is evenly coated.
  • Layer half of the pasta mixture into the baking dish, followed by half of the mozzarella cheese. Add the remaining pasta over the cheese and top with the rest of the mozzarella. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning and optionally garnish with pepperoni slices.
  • Bake for about 15 minutes until the cheese is gooey and the pasta is warmed through.
