Cheesy mozzarella and pepperoni pizza filling wrapped in crispy egg roll wrappers.
Ingredients:
  • 2 quarts canola oil for frying
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1 (16 ounce) jar pizza sauce
  • 1 (8 ounce) package sliced pepperoni
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 (14 ounce) package egg roll wrappers
Instructions:
  • In a deep-fryer or large saucepan, warm the oil to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C. Combine the egg and water in a small bowl, whisking until smooth.
  • Blend the pizza sauce and pepperoni until the pepperoni is finely chopped and the sauce thickens. Transfer the mixture to a large bowl and mix in the mozzarella cheese.
  • Place an eggroll wrapper on your work surface. Spoon 1 tablespoon of filling onto the bottom center, leaving a small border on each side. Brush the edges with the egg mixture. Fold over both sides and roll up to secure the filling. Repeat with the rest of the wrappers and filling.
  • Fry pizza rolls in batches until they are crispy and golden brown, which should take about 5-9 minutes.
