Try making these tasty and easy Latin American snack bites for a new favorite treat!
Ingredients:
  • 3 large green (unripe) plantains, peeled and very thinly sliced
  • Vegetable oil
  • Salt
Instructions:
  • Place plantain slices in a refreshing bath of iced water for 30 minutes, then drain and gently pat dry.
  • Heat a sufficient amount of oil in a medium saucepan until it reaches 375°F. Fry a batch of 12 to 14 plantain slices at once for approximately 2 minutes, flipping occasionally, until they turn golden brown. Use a slotted spoon to remove them and let them drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt before serving.
