Plum custard cake: A luscious combo of plums and custard on a moist cake base.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 2.5 cups pitted and sliced plums
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
Instructions:
  • 1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). 2. Combine flour, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and baking powder in a large bowl. 3. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. 4. Stir in 2 tablespoons of whipping cream and 1 egg. 5. Press the mixture into the bottom of an ungreased 9-inch square pan. 6. Arrange plums on top of the mixture.
  • - Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown. - Meanwhile, whisk together 1/2 cup whipping cream, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and 1 egg until smooth. - Pour the mixture over the plums and bake for an additional 20 to 30 minutes, or until the custard is set. - Serve warm or chilled, storing any leftovers in the refrigerator.
