Zesty orange almond bread with rich buttery notes and a generous pop of poppy seeds.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3 tablespoons poppy seeds
  • 1.5 teaspoons butter flavored extract
  • 1.3333333730698 cups vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1.5 cups milk
  • 2.25 cups white sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1.5 teaspoons almond extract
  • 0.25 cup orange juice
  • 0.5 teaspoon butter flavored extract
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups confectioners' sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and generously grease the bottoms of two 9-inch loaf pans.
  • Combine flour, salt, baking powder, poppy seeds, butter flavoring, oil, eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, and almond flavoring until well mixed. Transfer mixture into prepared pans.
  • Bake the loaves at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for one hour, then allow them to cool for 5 minutes. Puncture the tops of the loaves with holes and drizzle the glaze over them.
  • Prepare a delightful glaze by combining orange juice, 1/2 teaspoon of butter flavoring, 1/2 teaspoon of almond flavoring, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Gradually mix in confectioners' sugar until desired consistency is reached.
