Versatile pound cake recipe for moist, delicious results in various pan options.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 13 fluid ounces evaporated milk
  • 0.25 cup poppy seeds
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and generously grease and flour a 10 inch tube pan.
  • Combine flour, baking soda, salt, and sugar in a large bowl. Create a hollow in the center and add eggs, vanilla, oil, and milk. Stir thoroughly and gently incorporate poppy seeds. Transfer the mixture into a 10-inch tube pan.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 1 hour or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
