Crispy pork, cabbage, and tofu dumplings - a must-try family favorite!
Ingredients:
  • 46.00 gm vegetable oil
  • 3 spring onions, thinly sliced
  • 3 tsp finely grated ginger
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 250.00 ml finely shredded wombok (Chinese cabbage)
  • 250g Pork Mince
  • 21.00 gm Asia Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 150g silken tofu, drained, chopped
  • 25 wonton wrappers
Instructions:
  • In a frying pan over medium heat, warm 2 tsp vegetable oil. Sauté the spring onion, ginger, and garlic for 1 min until the spring onion starts to soften. Add the wombok and stir until softened. Place in a large heatproof bowl and let cool slightly.
  • Combine the mince, soy sauce, and sesame oil with the wombok mixture, season with pepper, then mix everything together using your hands. Gently stir in the tofu until combined.
  • Prepare a large baking tray by lightly greasing it. Take a single wonton wrapper and lay it out on your work surface. Spoon 1 1/2 tsp of the pork mixture into the center of the wrapper. Gently brush the edges with a bit of water. Fold the corners together to wrap and seal the filling inside. Transfer the filled wonton to the prepared tray and loosely cover it with plastic wrap. Repeat this process with the remaining wonton wrappers and pork mixture.
  • In a large non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Arrange half of the dumplings in the pan and pour in 1/3 cup (80ml) of water. Cover and cook for 5 minutes until the dumplings are tender. Uncover, increase heat to high, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the water evaporates and the bases are crisp. Transfer the cooked dumplings to a large serving plate. Repeat the process with the remaining oil and dumplings.
