Tasty Chinese dumplings perfect for entertaining, paired with a delicious tangy dipping sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 300g stir fry pork, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 42.00 gm soy sauce
  • 40.00 gm caster sugar
  • 62.50 ml unsalted peanuts, chopped, roasted
  • 36.80 gm vegetable oil
  • 62.50 ml chopped water chestnuts
  • 4 green shallots, sliced plus extra to serve
  • 250g pkt fresh lasagne sheets, cut into 8cm squares
  • 65.63 gm soy sauce
  • 20.00 ml white vinegar
Instructions:
  • Place pork, garlic, water chestnuts, and shallots in a bowl. Add soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, and peanuts. Mix well until everything is evenly coated.
  • Place 1 teaspoon of the filling in the center of each pasta square, moisten the edges with water, and seal by pinching them together. Transfer the filled pasta squares to a steamer basket lined with baking paper.
  • Steam the dumplings in a bamboo steamer or over a double boiler for 10 minutes until they are fully cooked.
  • In a hot frypan, add half of the oil and pan fry the dumplings in batches until crispy on one side. Transfer to a paper towel to drain.
  • Prepare a flavorful dipping sauce by mixing all ingredients in a small bowl. Drizzle the sauce over the dumplings and sprinkle extra shallots on top before serving.
