Create a tasty Asian-inspired street snack that kids will love.
Ingredients:
  • 150g pork mince
  • 250.00 ml finely shredded cabbage
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 21.00 gm soy sauce
  • 3cm piece fresh ginger, peeled, grated
  • 30 (275g packet) gow gee wrappers
  • 36.80 gm vegetable oil
  • 42.00 gm soy sauce
  • 30.00 ml rice wine vinegar
Instructions:
  • Combine mince, cabbage, green onion, sesame oil, soy sauce, ginger, and garlic in a bowl. Mix well. Lay a wrapper flat on a surface. Spread 2 level teaspoons of mince mixture onto one half of the wrapper. Moisten edges with cold water. Fold over and press to seal. Repeat with remaining mixture and wrappers.
  • In a large frying pan over medium-high heat, heat half of the vegetable oil. Place half of the dumplings in the pan and cook until the bases are browned, about 1 to 2 minutes. Add 1/2 cup of hot water, cover with a lid, and cook for 4 to 5 minutes until the dumplings are cooked through and the wrappers have softened. Repeat the process with the remaining oil and dumplings.
  • Prepare the Dipping sauce by mixing soy sauce and vinegar in a small bowl. Serve the gyoza right away with the dipping sauce.
