Delicious pork stroganoff with thick chops, onions, mushrooms, and a creamy sour cream sauce - a comforting meal made easy.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 (1 1/4 inch) thick pork chops
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 0.25 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons prepared mustard
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions:
  • In a spacious skillet, warm up oil over medium-high heat. Brown the chops on both sides until well-cooked. Transfer the chops to a plate and keep them aside.
  • Combine onions and mushrooms with the juices in the skillet, cooking until soft and flavorful. Stir occasionally. Incorporate water, mustard, and salt. Add the chops back to the skillet and bring to a boil. Lower the heat, cover, and simmer gently for 1 hour.
  • Transfer the chops to a cozy platter. Whisk sour cream into the sauce in the skillet, heating it through without boiling. Drizzle over the chops and sprinkle with parsley for an elegant presentation.
