Elevate dinner with this delicious pork stroganoff twist.
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 pounds pork boneless loin
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced (3 cups)
  • 3 medium onions, sliced
  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
  • 1 cup Progresso™ beef flavored broth (from 32-ounce carton)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil leaves or 1 1/2 teaspoons dried basil leaves
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 medium tomatoes, peeled, seeded and chopped (1 1/2 cups)
  • 3 tablespoons Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 6 cups hot cooked noodles
Instructions:
  • Slice pork thinly against the grain and then cut into strips measuring about 2 1/2x1/2 inch each.
  • In a 10-inch skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter until bubbling. Sauté mushrooms, onions, and garlic in the butter, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms and onions are tender. Remove the mixture from the skillet.
  • Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the pork in the butter, stirring often. Add broth, basil, Worcestershire sauce, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes until pork is tender. Mix in the mushroom mixture.
  • Combine sour cream and flour, then incorporate into the pork mixture. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, and let it boil for 1 minute. Add tomatoes and heat through. Serve over noodles.
