Roasted chicken with onions, portobello mushrooms and zesty garlic lemon seasoning. Perfect for adding your own spicy twist.
Ingredients:
  • 1 large yellow onion, chopped
  • 2 portobello mushroom caps, chopped
  • 2 pounds bone-in chicken pieces
  • 0.33333334326744 teaspoon garlic salt to taste
  • 0.33333334326744 teaspoon ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 large lemons, juiced
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) to get it nice and hot for cooking.
  • Evenly distribute the chopped onion and mushrooms in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Place the chicken pieces over the vegetables, skin side up. Drizzle lemon juice over the chicken and season with garlic salt and pepper.
  • Place the chicken in the preheated oven and bake uncovered for 20 minutes. Afterward, carefully flip the pieces over and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to broil. Broil chicken for 5 minutes, or until skin is crisp.
