Try this mouthwatering grilled portobello mushroom burger with provolone, lettuce, tomato, and aioli on buns. Delicious and satisfying!
Ingredients:
  • 4 portobello mushroom caps
  • 0.25 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 4 (1 ounce) slices provolone cheese
Instructions:
  • Arrange mushroom caps, gill side down, in a shallow dish to prepare for filling.
  • Combine balsamic vinegar, olive oil, minced garlic, fresh basil, and dried oregano in a small bowl. Season generously with salt and pepper.
  • Drizzle the vinaigrette over the mushrooms and allow them to marinate at room temperature for about 15 minutes, turning them twice.
  • Heat up the grill until it reaches a nice medium-high temperature.
  • Prepare the grill by brushing the grates with oil. Place the mushrooms on the grill and grill them until just tender, about 5 to 8 minutes per side, while basting them frequently with the reserved marinade.
  • Sprinkle cheese over mushrooms and grill until melted, for about 2 minutes.
