Indulgent creamy port wine mushroom sauce - perfect for steak and French bread dipping.
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup butter
  • 1 pound portobello mushrooms, diced
  • 1.5 cups port wine
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 0.25 cup chopped fresh basil
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter until sizzling. Add the mushrooms and cook until tender. Pour in the wine and simmer until reduced by half. Gently stir in the cream and simmer until a thick gravy forms. Finish by stirring in the fresh basil right before serving.
