Potato Soup a la Inge

Soulful dish topped with crispy bacon bits.
Ingredients:
  • 5 potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 5 cubes chicken bouillon
  • 2.5 quarts water
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 dash garlic powder
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg
  • 1 pint heavy whipping cream
  • 3 green onions, chopped
Instructions:
  • Combine potatoes, bouillon, water, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and nutmeg in a large pot over high heat. Cook until potatoes are tender, about 15 minutes. Stir in heavy cream and green onions, let bubble up for 5 minutes. Pour into bowls, garnish with bacon bits, and enjoy!
