Create a mouthwatering taco beef and potato casserole topped with seasoned cheese and crispy tortilla chips, perfect for feeding a family of five.
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1 package Betty Crocker™ au gratin potatoes
  • 2 1/4 cups boiling water
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded taco-seasoned cheese (4 ounces)
  • 1 cup coarsely broken tortilla chips
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • In a 10-inch skillet over medium heat, cook the beef for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned; then drain the excess fat.
  • Combine uncooked potatoes, sauce mix, boiling water, and milk in an ungreased 2-quart round casserole dish. Mix in the beef and 1/2 cup of cheese.
  • Bake uncovered for about 30 minutes or until the top turns a light golden brown. Sprinkle the chips over the casserole, followed by the remaining cheese. Bake for an additional 3 to 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted. Allow it to sit for 2 minutes before serving.
