Pan-fried white fish fillet with savory potato crust, baked to perfection. Transform any white fish into a culinary delight.
Ingredients:
  • 2 (4 ounce) cod fillets
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 4 potatoes, grated
  • 2 shallots, grated
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons butter, cut into small pieces
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
  • Season both sides of the cod generously with salt. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Cook the cod until golden brown, about 2 to 3 minutes per side.
  • In a bowl, mix together grated potatoes, shallots, and egg. Add parsley, nutmeg, and salt to season. Spread the potato mixture on top of each cod fillet and sprinkle with butter.
  • Bake until the potato crust is golden and the cod is flaky when tested with a fork, approximately 10 minutes.
