Transform leftover Halloween candy into a delicious bread pudding using your favorite pound cake.
Ingredients:
  • 4 cups pound cake chunks
  • 1 cup white sugar, divided
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
  • 1 cup chopped Halloween candy
Instructions:
  • Grease an 8-inch square baking dish with butter. Arrange pound cake chunks in the dish and leave aside.
  • In a bowl, whisk together eggs and 3/4 cup sugar until frothy. Mix in milk, heavy cream, vanilla bean paste, and salt, continue whisking for 1 to 2 minutes. Add chopped candy, ensuring no clumps, then pour this over pound cake in the pan. Press cake into the mixture, cover with plastic wrap, and chill in the fridge for 2 hours to overnight.
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Place in the preheated oven until puffed and set, approximately 1 hour. Allow bread pudding to cool on a wire rack for 15 to 20 minutes before serving.
