Deliciously creamy pumpkin custard with a perfect balance of sweetness and spices, ideal for a festive Thanksgiving dessert. Top with whipped cream for a decadent finish.
Ingredients:
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup half-and-half
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground ginger
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously butter 6 custard cups or ramekins.
  • Combine eggs, egg yolks, and flour in a bowl until velvety. Integrate pumpkin puree, half-and-half, milk, sugar, salt, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger into the egg mixture until velvety; fill the custard cups with the mixture.
  • Place custard cups in a spacious baking pan and add water around them, filling the pan halfway.
  • Bake until custards are perfectly set in the center, approximately 40 minutes in the preheated oven. Enjoy either at room temperature or chilled.
