Create homemade pumpkin spice syrup using pumpkin pie filling, pumpkin pie spice, and autumnal spices for a delightful fall treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 1.5 cups white sugar
  • 8 tablespoons pumpkin pie filling, divided
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 teaspoons freshly grated nutmeg
  • 2 teaspoons minced fresh ginger
  • 2 teaspoons whole cloves
  • 0.25 cup sweetened condensed milk
Instructions:
  • Combine water and sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Lower the heat to medium-low and cook, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is fully dissolved, approximately 5 minutes.
  • Combine 6 tablespoons of pumpkin pie filling with cinnamon sticks, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, vanilla, and pumpkin pie spice in the sugar syrup. Simmer until well spiced, for about 8 to 10 minutes.
  • Pour the mixture through a cheesecloth into a bowl and gently heat the liquid in the saucepan on low.
  • Combine the condensed milk and remaining 2 tablespoons of pumpkin pie filling into the spiced syrup. Cook and stir consistently until the pumpkin completely dissolves into the mixture for approximately 5 minutes.
