Maple walnut candies: Creamy maple syrup boiled with walnuts, shaped beautifully for a melt-in-your-mouth treat.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups pure maple syrup
  • 0.5 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
  • Secure a candy thermometer to a sturdy saucepan. Heat maple syrup in the saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until it reaches 235 degrees F (110 degrees C).
  • Allow the mixture to cool off the heat passively until it reaches 175 degrees F (80 degrees C), approximately 10 minutes, refrain from stirring.
  • Whisk the mixture vigorously with a wooden spoon for about 5 minutes until it thickens, becomes creamy, and lightens in color. Gently fold in the chopped nuts.
  • Transfer the mixture into molds, then let it cool at room temperature until firm.
  • Remove candy from mold and place it in a sealed container to keep fresh for a month.
