Creamy hamburger stroganoff with mushrooms and chicken in a savory sauce, served over egg noodles for a simple and satisfying meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (16 ounce) package egg noodles
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 (4.5 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1 tablespoon garlic salt
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup (such as Campbell's®)
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can cream of chicken soup (such as Campbell's®)
  • 1 cup sour cream
Instructions:
  • Prepare all ingredients.
  • Fill a large pot with salted water and bring it to a rapid boil. Cook the egg noodles until al dente, about 7 to 9 minutes, then drain.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter until sizzling. Sauté onion until soft and translucent, approximately 5 minutes. Add ground beef in small pieces; cook and stir until beef is browned and crumbled, about 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Generously dust flour over the seasoned beef; sauté and constantly stir for 1 minute. Introduce mushrooms and aromatic garlic salt.
  • Incorporate mushroom soup and chicken soup, stirring occasionally until warmed, approximately 5 minutes.
  • Mix sour cream into the beef mixture until velvety and warmed, for 2 to 3 more minutes. Spoon the savory beef over a bed of cooked egg noodles to serve.
