Easy Southern-style canned chicken and dumplings recipe, kid-friendly.
Ingredients:
  • 2.25 cups biscuit baking mix
  • 0.66666668653488 cup milk
  • 2 (14 ounce) cans chicken broth
  • 2 (10 ounce) cans chunk chicken, drained
Instructions:
  • Combine biscuit mix and milk in a medium bowl, stirring until dough forms; set aside.
  • In a saucepan, combine the cans of chicken broth and chicken. Bring to a boil.
  • Grab a generous portion of biscuit dough and gently flatten it in your palm. Tear off small 1- to 2-inch pieces and add them into the boiling broth. Ensure they are fully submerged, then proceed with the rest of the dough. Give the soup a gentle stir to ensure all the dumplings are submerged under the broth.
  • Simmer covered on medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the dumplings are fully cooked, approximately 10 minutes.
