Quick and easy Amish banana nut snack cake.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 0.25 cup milk
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 cup mashed bananas
  • 0.5 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and generously grease and flour a 9x13-inch pan.
  • Cream together the sugar and butter in a bowl using an electric mixer until smooth; incorporate the milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  • Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt in a bowl. Gently mix flour mixture into butter mixture until just combined. Add bananas and walnuts, then transfer batter into prepared pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for around 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
