Total Time:
22 minutes
Quick and flavorful French-inspired dish with minimal effort. Ready in just 20 minutes - perfect for a romantic midweek dinner.
Instructions:
  • Score the duck skin and season with sea salt and black pepper. Place the fillets skin side down in a cold non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Cook undisturbed for 8 minutes until the skin is golden and crispy. Flip the duck and cook for another 4 minutes, basting with the rendered fat. Meanwhile, prepare the sage leaves, trim the broccoli, and prepare the orange. Toss the orange with red wine vinegar, salt, and pepper. Remove the duck to rest after cooking. Crisp up the sage leaves in the pan for about 1 minute, then transfer to the duck plate. Cook the broccoli in the pan until lightly charred for about 4 minutes. Add the beans with juices, cover, and cook for 3 minutes. Season to taste, plate, and drizzle with the resting juices. Slice the duck, place on top, and garnish with crispy sage and orange.
