Upgrade your pancakes with quick oats for a hearty twist. Top with your favorite sweet treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup milk
  • 0.66666668653488 cup quick-cooking oats
  • 0.66666668653488 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons butter, melted
  • 0.25 cup milk, or more as needed
  • 2 teaspoons butter, or as needed
Instructions:
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, warm 1 cup of milk until bubbling for about 2 minutes. Mix in the oats.
  • Combine flour, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl. In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, 2 teaspoons of melted butter, and vanilla extract; then mix in 1/4 cup of milk. Combine the oat mixture with the egg mixture and mix everything together with the flour mixture until well combined.
  • Melt 2 teaspoons of butter on a griddle or skillet over medium heat. Pour 1/3 cup of batter into the butter. Cook until bubbles form on top, approximately 5 minutes. Flip and cook until evenly browned on the other side, around 5 more minutes.
