Quick and elegant salmon piccata, ready in 30 minutes. Perfect for a gourmet meal at home.
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 (4 ounce) salmon fillets, skin removed
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 0.25 cup dry white wine
  • 1 teaspoon finely minced garlic
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon capers, drained
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 slices lemon
Instructions:
  • Add flour to a bowl. Season salmon fillets with salt and pepper, then coat them with flour.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, heat oil. Add salmon and cook until golden brown on each side, about 3 minutes. Transfer to a plate and keep warm.
  • Deglaze the skillet with wine, scraping up the flavorful browned bits with a wooden spoon. Add garlic and cook until fragrant and liquid reduces by half, about 1 minute. Stir in chicken broth, lemon juice, and capers, and bring to a boil. Finish by stirring in butter until melted.
  • Place the salmon back into the skillet and generously spoon the flavorful sauce over it. Continue cooking until the salmon effortlessly flakes with a fork, approximately 2 minutes on each side.
  • Serve the salmon on plates, drizzle with the pan sauce, and adorn with lemon slices.
