Indulge in a decadent sticky pudding for those craving something sweet and comforting.
Ingredients:
  • unsalted butter for greasing
  • 3 tablespoons golden syrup
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 75 g soft dark brown sugar
  • 1 orange
  • 150 ml whole milk
  • 1-2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 175 g plain flour
  • 75 g vegetable suet or suet
Instructions:
  • Prepare the pudding basin by greasing it with butter and drizzling in the golden syrup. In a large mixing bowl, combine egg, baking powder, ground ginger, sugar, orange zest, orange juice, milk, and vanilla extract. Slowly mix in flour, suet, and a pinch of sea salt until combined. Pour the mixture into the basin and cover with greaseproof paper, securing it with string. Microwave on medium heat (750W) for 12 minutes. Let it sit for 10 minutes before unmolding. Serve with hot golden syrup, cream, or custard. Enjoy!
