Quick and easy oyster dressing with cornbread stuffing mix - a mouthwatering delight.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 0.5 cup chopped celery
  • 0.25 teaspoon dried sage
  • 0.25 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can chicken broth
  • 0.66666668653488 cup water
  • 0.25 cup margarine
  • 1 (6 ounce) package dry cornbread stuffing mix
  • 2 (8 ounce) cans oysters, drained and liquid reserved
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions:
  • In a small skillet over medium heat, melt butter and sauté celery until tender, about 10 minutes. Add sage and poultry seasoning, then take off heat.
  • Combine chicken broth and water in a large saucepan over medium heat, then add margarine and stir until melted. Mix in cornbread stuffing until absorbed, then fluff with a fork. Add oyster liquid until desired moisture level is reached. Gently stir in celery, butter, seasonings, oysters, and black pepper.
  • Simmer the dressing until it's hot and the flavors have melded, approximately 5 minutes.
