Festive Rainbow Christmas Wreath made with moist white cake, fluffy frosting, colorful sprinkles, and food coloring. A holiday table must-have!
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ White Cake Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on cake mix box
  • Red and green food color
  • 1 tub (12 oz) Betty Crocker™ Whipped Fluffy White Frosting
  • Betty Crocker™ Decorating Decors® red, green and white candy sprinkles
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 325°F. Grease a 12-cup fluted tube cake pan generously with shortening or cooking spray. Follow the directions on the cake mix box to make the batter using water, oil, and eggs. Transfer half of the batter into a medium bowl, and set it aside. Divide the remaining batter evenly between 2 small bowls, so you have 3 bowls of batter in total. Mix red food color into one small bowl and green food color into the other small bowl until well combined.
  • Layer half of the white batter into cake pan, followed by red and green batters. Finish by pouring the remaining white batter on top. Ensure colors remain separate.
  • Bake following box instructions until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Allow to cool for 10 minutes. Invert pan onto a cooling rack set over a cookie sheet, remove pan, and continue cooling for about 30 minutes. Transfer cake to a serving plate.
  • Divide the frosting evenly between 2 small microwave-safe bowls. Microwave one bowl on High for 5 to 10 seconds. Stir well until smooth for drizzling. Drizzle the white frosting in a striped pattern over the entire cake, allowing some to drip into the center if desired.
  • Heat the second portion of frosting in the microwave until smooth, then mix in a touch of green food coloring. Pour the mixture over the cake, creating even stripes as you go. Sprinkle with festive sprinkles and allow the frosting to set before enjoying.
