Whiskey-marinated steak with plump raisins for a flavorful twist.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup raisins
  • 0.25 cup Canadian whiskey (such as Crown Royal®)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 (12 ounce) boneless beef sirloin steaks
  • 1 teaspoon canola oil
Instructions:
  • Combine raisins, whiskey, and brown sugar in a resealable plastic bag.
  • Add steaks to the bag, cover with marinade, remove air, and seal. Marinate in the fridge for 10-30 minutes.
  • In a large skillet, heat canola oil over medium-high heat until sizzling.
  • Place the steaks in the sizzling skillet along with the flavorful marinade.
  • Using a slotted spoon, transfer the plumped raisins from the skillet and set them aside. This should take about 5 minutes.
  • Sear steaks until perfectly juicy, tender, and slightly pink in the center, about 5 to 8 minutes per side. Ensure they reach a minimum internal temperature of 140°F (60°C) using an instant-read thermometer.
  • Garnish the steaks with the raisins before serving.
