Versatile dessert sauce perfect for chocolate souffles, cheesecakes, ice cream, bread puddings, or stirred into yogurt.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pint fresh raspberries
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 cup cold water
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan, mix raspberries, sugar, and orange juice. Blend cornstarch with cold water until smooth, then pour into the saucepan. Bring to a boil.
  • Stir constantly and simmer for 5 minutes until the sauce reaches your desired thickness; it will thicken more as it cools.
  • Blend the sauce until smooth, then strain through a fine sieve. Serve warm or cold and store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
