A luscious dessert combining creamy mascarpone, whipped cream, angel food cake, and juicy mixed berries in layers for a delightful treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 16 ounces mascarpone cheese
  • 5 cups frozen strawberries, thawed
  • 1.25 cups frozen blueberries, thawed
  • 1 (9 inch) angel food cake, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 (4 ounce) bar dark chocolate
Instructions:
  • Whip cream in a large bowl until stiff peaks form, then gently fold in the mascarpone until well combined. Set aside.
  • In a blender, puree half of the strawberries until smooth. Combine the puree with the remaining whole berries in a large bowl.
  • Spread a third of the angel food cake cubes on the bottom of a trifle or serving dish. Top with a third of the strawberries and blueberries, then lightly drizzle a third of the cream mixture over the fruit. Repeat these layers twice, finishing with the cream mixture. Refrigerate until you're ready to enjoy.
  • Use a vegetable peeler to create chocolate curls from the dark chocolate bar and sprinkle them over the dessert before serving.
