Red cabbage & snow pea sprout sesame salad

Ingredients:
  • 49.50 gm sesame seeds
  • 1/2 small red cabbage, hard core removed, finely shredded
  • 4 shallots, trimmed, sliced
  • 100g snow pea sprouts, trimmed
  • 2 carrots, peeled, cut into matchsticks
  • 500.00 ml bean sprouts, trimmed
  • Blue eye trevalla with kecap manis & ginger (see related recipe), to serve
Instructions:
  • Toast sesame seeds in a frying pan over medium heat until golden, then set aside to cool. Alternatively, microwave sesame seeds on a plate at 50% power.
  • Toss together red cabbage, shallots, snow pea sprouts, carrots, and bean sprouts in a large bowl.
  • Combine the toasted sesame seeds with the salad and toss until fully mixed. Serve alongside the fish (refer to related recipe) with ginger and chili dressing.
